Race: Trill.  Unjoined.
Gender: Female
Age: 30, born in 2350
Birthplace: Trill, Mak'ala (The planetary Capitol. Not the caves.)
Sexual Orientation: She experiences sexual attraction infrequently, but when she does it's perfectly random (and sometimes catches her off-guard). She has been attracted to people of many genders, and alien races.
Appearance: Average height, round face, dark brown eyes, jaw-length straight black hair, light skin, spots that go all the way down.
She likes wearing her uniform, and even in her civilian-wear, leans towards the tailored.

History: As the second child born to a pair of joined Trill, in the very city where Trill are joined - she had a very traditional Trill childhood.  Perhaps as a direct result she decided that she never, ever wanted to be joined.
Her sister Rilen applied, but was rejected early in the process by the symbiosis committee and decided to become a guardian in the caves of Mak'ala, instead - committing herself to a lifetime cut off from her family.  This is around when Reegan decided to become a doctor through Starfleet rather than the Trill Science Ministry, much to the irritation of her mother (and probably her father if he knew, but he's someone else now).

Personality: Very friendly. Tries to be funny. Probably isn't, but doesn't press people when they are clearly unamused. When she meets people, she generally thinks their character is "awesome until proven asshole." When someone does prove to be an asshole, she simply moves on.  Her indifference thereafter is complete, and icily civil.

Skills / Disadvantages: Reegan is a good doctor.  Not top of her class, but she has an excellent knack for maneuvering the biological nuances between various alien body chemistry.  She is especially good at  figuring out tricky treatments for individuals of mixed alien parentage.
Wonderful bedside manner particularly with children, the elderly, and humans. Some people tend to think she's patronizing them, but she just likes to be clear. She's also quite inexperienced. Which can only be corrected with time.
Sometimes she's afraid she's too green for this assignment, and wields leadership with great unease.
She's usually in a good mood, but there are a few issues that will instantly set her off on a tirade. For example: as soon as it comes up in conversation, she'll tell anyone how shady she thinks the symbiosis committee is, and has strong opinions about public education.  She barrels through, regardless of the opinions of her listeners, until someone interrupts her on a catch-breath.

What Brings Her To DS15?:  A major tenet of Trill society is the urge to learn, experience, and grow, and though she may not agree with all of Trill's current social conventions, she embraces this philosophy whole-heartedly.
DS15 was one of the assignments available. No one higher up in her class wanted it, and she didn't know where she wanted to go.  She doesn't know this, but the Federation would have put her there anyway - the station has a diverse and constantly changing population, and there are many who could benefit from her skill set.

Possessions: Not much.  A picture of her family.  Some clothes (mostly uniforms).  Alien literature (especially Human plays, Cardassian mysteries and Bajoran poetry). Before coming to this assignment, the only thing her mother gave her was an offensive knock-off D'ja pagh, that she keeps out of an odd sentimentality, but hides in a box in the back corner of her closet.
